"I would like to thank you for supporting the relief effort for the crisis in Kosovo. When the crisis first began, I knew the message of this song was relevant to the refugees' plight. Hearing about the suffering ethnic Albanians inspired me to record The Teardrop in the hopes that it would raise awareness and money to aid the relief effort.
What is unique about this song is that it was originally written by a native Albanian who has known first hand the hardships of his people. The message of The Teardrop is that hope for peace stems from selfless love."
